Camellias

Genus of 100's of species of long-lived evergreen shrubs and small trees that thrive in acid rich, moist but well drained soil, positioned in partial or dappled shade, in a sheltered site from cold, dry winds and early morning sun.

Most Camellia species are fully frost hardy once established.

Camellias are elegant shrubs that provide year round foliage and an abundance of showy flowers and suit both large woodland gardens or smaller borders.
